Make sure to find out if there are any specials running to get the first 3 months free.   Discovery Toys can be a very lucrative business. It can take a short time to become successful, if you work the business.  Personally, I have not been able to spend as much time as I would have liked, but I plan to become more active now.  There is a ton of training, including monthly meetings, conference calls, etc. available to help you to grow your business.   Some of the ongoing costs are: A new brochure comes out every 6 months; the cost is $40 for 100 catalogs.  You can also purchase the New Product Kit, which comes out twice a year, but it is not required. You will need to order, order forms, hostess flyers, recruiting flyers, all at a nominal cost.   Discovery Toys is sold mostly through home parties, but can often be seen at local fairs, festivals, etc.  They can also be purchased online from consultant websites and through the catalog.   There are many opportunities for growth. If you sell a certain amount each month, you will get promoted and make a bonus on your sales. If you enjoy the recruitment angle, they do have management options.
